Toro Snowblowers

Toro snowblowers are the king of snow throwers. These machines do not clog, they can clear snow that is over a foot deep and they throw the snow completely out of the way. These machines start easily. You can choose to have an electric starter switch that starts the snowblower instantly; or if you opt to keep the pull starter they start with 1-2 pulls. These machines are easy enough for any non-athletic woman to use (if she can get to it first) and tough enough to do even the most difficult snow removal jobs.

Toro has three different classes of snowblowers; all of them do an excellent job of cleaning snow from your side walk and driveway. This takes the work out of snow removal and lets you spend less time cleaning your walk ways and more time playing in the snow. With the distance the Toro snowblowers can throw the snow you will be able to build a snow fort with your kids on the lawn if you want.

Toro advertises a 30' distance that their machines throw snow, this is a maximum and many users are happily reporting an easy 20' distance. Users also report their Toro snowblowers throw snow with a 4' clearance if you are concerned about how tall of a snow pile you can throw.

Two Stage Toro Snowblowers
If you have a large area you need to clear you may want to buy a two stage snowblower (IE: Power Max or Power Throw). These machines are wheel propelled and they maneuver easily allowing you to make tight corners while you are clearing the snow from your sidewalks and driveway all the way to the ground. Even the biggest machine is easy to steer with the trigger action steering at your fingertips. The auger system that Toro has in their snowblowers keeps you from having to clean the chute out every few minutes. The snow is thrown, not stuck in the chute.

Single Stage Toro Snowblowers
For smaller areas you can use the single stage snowblowers (IE: CCR Powerlite, Power Clear 221, Power Clear 221Q, Power Clear 421Q, Snow Commander, or the CCR 2450 GTS). These lightweight machines are auger propelled and work well for most homes, these even work quite well for larger jobs. Owners of single stage Toro snowblowers have reported that they can clear 60' by 25' driveways in 12 minutes with their snowthrower. The larger machines work great if you have a heavy, wet snow fall and you want to clear a large area. This machine will also work under those conditions but it will take you longer. If time isn't a factor and you want to play with your snowblower longer this may be the machine for you.

Electric Toro Snowblowers
If you have a small area you want cleared you can use the electric snowblowers (IE: Power Shovel or 1800 Power Curve). These are more environmentally friendly as they do not use gas and oil, instead they run on electricity. The electric cord does limit how far you can go with your snowblower.

Toro snowblowers easily pay for themselves if you have snow to shovel each winter. You would pay more to the neighbor kids in one winter (maybe two mattering on how cheaply the neighborhood kids are willing to work) than you will pay for a Toro snowblower.
